"They were just little kids at a dance class": Taylor Swift's Message Following Southport Attack

Taylor Swift has shared a message after three children were killed and multiple injured in a stabbing attack in Southport, England.

The kids had been attending a Taylor-themed dance, yoga and bracelet-making workshop for children aged 6 to 11 when the horrific incident took place.

Overnight, authorities named the three children who died: 6-year-old Bebe King, 7-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe and 9-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar.

A 17-year-old boy remains in custody but is yet to be charged.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Taylor (who is currently touring through Europe) wrote:

“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock... The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the Families, and first responders. These were just little Kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these Families.”

Swifties have been banding together to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the victims’ families. In a JustGiving page set up by Cristina Jones and Holly Goldring, it's stated that the funds will go to Alder Hey Children's Hospital where survivors are being treated, and to cover funeral costs for the three young Swifties who so tragically lost their lives. At the time of writing, over 17,000 Swifties have raised £265,429. You can follow the fundraiser
