Comedian, actress, TV host and all 'round legendary human Tiffany Haddish has released her first children's book!
Layla, the Last Black Unicorn follows the story of a young, Black unicorn who attends her first year of school at Unicornia, of course, and realises she's not quite like the others - they look different, play different games and don't come from the woods like Layla does.
“It’s no secret that when I was growing up, I had a lot of difficulties learning to read," Tiffany shared in a statement when her book deal with Harper Collins was announced last year.
"Like many kids, more than anything, I wanted to see myself in the books I read. Layla, the Last Black Unicorn is a story about self-acceptance, and a story that I hope inspires kids to be ready to step up and stand out."

This isn't the first time Tiffany has ventured into the world of books. In 2019, she released The Last Black Unicorn, a collection of personal essays about her life and road to fame.
She's also due to release two middle grade novels, co-written with Paula Chase, which are expected to out in 2023 and 2024.
