Netflix has dropped the first trailer for the highly anticipated documentary about Pamela Anderson: Pamela, A Love Story.

The 2-minute clip, set to a slowed-down, heartfelt version of the Cardigans' 1996 hit "Lovefool", features videos of Pamela over the years (including more recent footage of her - relaxed and makeup-free) and shares thought-provoking questions about who is in control of her story and image?

"I wanna take control of the narrative for the first time," she can be heard saying in a voiceover.

You might remember the actor and activist was portrayed by Lily James in the Hulu series Pam & Tommy last year– made without her involvement.

According to the official log line, Pamela, A Love Story is "an intimate and humanising portrait of one of the world's most famous blonde bombshells," following her "life and career from small town girl to international sex symbol, actress, activist and doting mother."

Pamela announced in March last year that she would be making this film: “My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions. Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor. And alive to tell the real story.”

It's due out on Netflix January 31.
