The cast of Beverly Hills 90210 are remembering their friend, actor, director and podcaster Shannen Doherty, who has sadly passed away at the age of 53.
Shannen's longtime publicist Leslie Sloane confirmed the news to People, sharing that Shannen "lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease."

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, was in remission in 2017 but announced the cancer had returned in 2019. Last year, Shannen revealed to her fans that she was undergoing treatment for cancer that had spread to her brain.
Jennie Garth who played Kelly Taylor on 90210 posted photos of them on set along with a moving message:
"I am still processing my tremendous grief over the loss of my long time friend Shannen, the woman I have often described as one of the strongest people I have ever known. Our connection was real and honest. We were so often pitted against each other but none of that reflected the truth of our real relationship which was one built on mutual respect and admiration. She was courageous, passionate, determined and very loving and generous. I will miss her an will always honour her deeply in my heart and in my memories."

Jason Priestley who starred as Brandon Walsh said he was shocked and saddened to hear about Shannen's passing: "She was a force of nature and I will miss her. Sending love and light to her family in this dark time."
Gabrielle Carteris who played Andrea Zuckerman wrote, "So young - so sad. May you RIP Shannen. I know Luke (Perry) is there with open arms to love you."
Brian Austin Green who played David Silver described Shannen as a "sister" and said: "You loved me through everything. You were a big part of my understanding of love. I'll miss you more than I know how to process right now. Thank you for the gift of you."
Tori Spelling who played Donna Martin on the popular series shared a selfie of the two of them and simply captioned it, "I don't have outward words yet... but WE knew and that's what matters."

Shannen had a career in film and television spanning many decades - from starring as Jenny Wilder on Little House on the Prairie to landing roles on North Shore and Girls Just Want to Have Fun. But it was her portrayal of strong-willed twin Brenda Walsh on 90210 and magical big sis Prue Halliwell on Charmed that cemented her status as a pop culture icon.
