Chris Evans is People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2022!
Talk-show host Stephen Colbert made the announcement during The Late Show, sharing a clip of the Captain America and Lightyear star accepting the honour from past title holder Dwayne Johnson.
It wasn't just a quick swap of the crown though. The Rock hilariously took some time to point out that he never actually gave up the title:
"Let me ask you a question, brother. Am I alive? I'm still alive. Am I still sexy? You bet your sexy mouth I am."
Chris, being the kind-hearted soul that he is, agreed to "share" the title and when asked to say something "sexy" to the camera, came up with "Go vote tomorrow."
Speaking to People, he shared that his mum Lisa would be particularly thrilled about the news, "she's proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about."
And she certainly is proud. The publication got a hold of Lisa who tells them she is "not surprised at all."
Neither are we Lisa. Neither. Are. We.
Chris is also the founder of civic engagement platform A Starting Point, which helps voters better understand current political issues.
