A puppy that was found eating trash in a cemetery with a metal chain embedded in her neck has found a loving home with actor and former pro-wrestler Dave Bautista.
Three-month-old Sage went viral after the Humane Society of Tampa Bay shared heart-breaking pictures of the dog on their social media page. (You can see them HERE. Warning: they are graphic.)
The pics caught Dave's attention a few days ago and he immediately offered a $5,000 reward to help find the culprit. Since then, more people have also offered their support and the reward currently stands at $11,500 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

"So, the bad news is we don't have any solid leads now....the good news, today, the puppy you know as Sage became Penny Bautista," he says in a video posted to Instagram.
"She is now a Bautista and she will never be abused again a day in her life. Not a second in her life. She is about to live her best puppy life ever."
Penny had to have surgery to remove the chain after being brought into the shelter by a Good Samaritan.
"Even though she is in immense pain, Sage was wagging her tail on the exam table while our veterinarian and vet techs were examining her," the Humane Society shared in an earlier Instagram post.
"In addition to the chain, we noticed that Sage has skin issues and overgrown nails. We can't imagine who would do this to her."
She's now recovering, at home, with Dave.
