Joker: Folie à Deux filmmaker Todd Phillips has just shared the first photo of Lady Gaga in character for the film!

While we don't know for sure who she's playing yet, she's widely believed to be taking on the role of Harley Quinn, previously played by Margot Robbie. In the pic posted on social media - on U.S. Valentine's Day, of course - Gaga's character can be seen staring into the eyes of the Joker.

Phillips had previously shared a photo of Joaquin Phoenix who is reprising his role as Arthur Fleck:

Filming is currently underway in New York City and Los Angeles, with a release date set for October 4, 2024.

Gaga announced her involvement in the sequel in October last year, but didn't give away any information about her character.
