Our favourite hairstylist, author, podcaster and political activist Jonathan Van Ness is sharing some empowering words for any of us who may be doubting ourselves, or our dreams.

You see, the Queer Eye star who recently launched his own line of haircare, saw the items stocked on shelves at mega beauty retailer Sephora today and he was understandably pretty excited about it!

In a video posted to his socials, Jonathan films the range available in store as well as a woman picking up one of his products:

"Oh my god, you're the first one buying it!" he says, his tone a mix of joy and teariness.

"Oh my god, look at little JVN Hair with all these cool brands!"

Captioning the video, he then goes on to explain how proud he is of himself and how he hopes his story might encourage us to keep following our dreams too, no matter the challenges:

"If you have a dream, if you're struggling with something, if you have so many reasons to no believe in your dreams, know that we live in a world where they can come true. I live in a world where a survivor of abuse, someone who is living with HIV, someone who is Queer & Non-Binary can also be a happy, healthy, home owning comedian, writer, entertainer who now can add founder of their very own haircare company @jvnhair to that list."

"I could've never predicted that this life would be mine, so don't ever let anyone tell you that your dreams can't happen. We live in a world where dreams come true everyday."

The JVN brand currently offers four collections with ten products that are entirely vegan, come in recyclable aluminium bottles and contain no sulfates or silicone.
