LeBron James has made NBA history!

The basketball superstar has broken the record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the game's all-time leading scorer.

In the third quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers game against Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron scored a three-pointer, taking him to 38,388 career points.

Kareem's record of 38,387 had been unbreakable since checks notes 1984! Interestingly, that happens to be the year LeBron was born.

Right after the historic moment, Kareem could be seen standing up in the crowd, clapping respectfully for LeBron. And afterwards, he congratulated him in person.

By the end of the game, LeBron scored a couple more points, taking his career total to 38,390!
