Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for 'My Brilliant Career'.

Yes, it's really happening! Miles Franklin's iconic Aussie novel is heading to our screens, and judging by the trailer, it's a little Bridgerton, a little The Bucaneers and a lot 1900s Australia.

This isn't the first time the story has been adapted. The 1979 film starred Judy Davis and Sam Neill, and there have been several theatre productions too.

Check out the trailer below, plus everything you need to know including release date, cast and more:

What is 'My Brilliant Career' about?

My Brilliant Career follows the story of Sybylla, a modern, young woman being pushed to marry when all she really wants to do is become a writer! That is, until she actually falls in love. As Netflix puts it, "will she marry, or risk it all for a creative life?"
