Rachel Zegler to Star as Lucy Gray Baird in 'Hunger Games' Prequel

Rachel Zegler has an exciting new project in the works!

The West Side Story star has confirmed she's been cast as Lucy Gray Baird in The Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. 

The film from Lionsgate which is due out in November 2023, will follow the story of a young Coriolanus Snow (played by Tom Blyth), his rise to power and his task of mentoring Lucy who'll compete in the 10th annual Hunger Games.

And just like she's done in the past, Rachel shared some pics of the moment she was given the epic news:

In a follow-up tweet, she adds: "So much joy. i love movies. i cannot believe i get to make them. i am so thankful that this is my life. thanks for being on this ride with me. see ya later."

Rachel is also currently working on the upcoming Disney live-action remake of Snow White as well as DC Film's Shazam: Fury of the Gods and Apple's animated musical Spellbound.
