Tennis Star Andrey Rublev of Russia Writes "No War Please" on Camera After Dubai Victory

World #7 tennis player Andrey Rublev of Russia has shared a message of peace after his victory at the Dubai Championships.

Rublev, who defeated Poland's Hubert Hurkacz 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (5) in their semi-final, went up to one of the cameras and wrote "No War Please" on the screen.

In his post-match press conference, Rublev told reporters: "In these moments you realise that my match is not important....you realise how important it is to have peace in the world and to respect each other."

Fellow player,  Jírí Veselÿ of Czechia who played in the other semi-final, followed Rublev's lead shortly after, writing "No War" on another camera.
