One word.

Wow.

From visionary filmmaker Lana Wachowski comes the highly anticipated trailer for the fourth film of the ground-breaking, mind-bending Matrix franchise - The Matrix Resurrections - and it.. looks.. gooooooood!

Until now, we haven't really known what to expect given the original trilogy's ending. And to be honest, even after watching the trailer, we still don't know what to expect but we do know that Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are reprising their roles as Neo and Trinity and that perhaps the ending in the third movie was not the ending afterall!

In the 3-minute action-packed trailer, we see some famous faces including Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and more.

And there's this moment in the clip where Neo and Trinity shake hands, linger a moment, and then she looks him in the eye and asks, "have we met?"

I mean, who knows what is going on!

The movie is due out in cinemas across Australia on January 1. Until then...enjoy the trailer:
