FireAid, the benefit concerts held to support the people of L.A. following the deadly wildfires, has raised over US$100 million for relief efforts - and counting!

More than 30 artists took part in the dual events, held on January 30 at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. They included Green Day with Billie Eilish, Alanis Morissette, Olivia Rodrigo, Dr. Dre, Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, Jelly Roll and Gwen Stefani with a reunited No Doubt.

Organisers have since confirmed the proceeds will go towards the immediate needs of Los Angeles residents as well as long-term support, with the first grants to be rolled out this month.

Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong took to Instagram to share his thoughts after the event:

"It was an absolute honour to play @FireAidLA last night. We had the best time with our friend @BillieEilish who joined us for "Last Night on Earth". L.A we are sending all our love to you."

According to a press release from FireAid organisers, the show attracted more than 50 milion viewers across 28 streaming platforms.

"The estimated amount raised includes ticket sales for both venues, sponsorships, merchandise sales, and donations from the public including generous private gifts from the Azoff family, the Eagles, Andrew Haptman and Ellen Bronfman Hauptman and U2," the release said.

The concerts came together thanks to a collaboration between Shelli and Irving Azoff (and their family), Live Nation and the LA Clippers. Joel Gallen of Tenth Planet served as executive producer and Rick Krim served as talent producer.
