Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields all-women music festival is all about supporting the sisterhood, and let's just say the inaugural event lived up to its promise, and more!

Ticket sales alone generated US$10 million for 10 non-profits chosen by Olivia to support women and girls. And then at the event itself, philanthropist Melinda French Gates appeared alongside Olivia to announce she'd be matching the donations, raising funds to $20 million! (Look, I know I keep using exclamation points but this really is huge!)

We're talking $20 million for organisations supporting women and girls' reproductive health, mental health, safety from violence, maternal care and more. Some of the charities benefiting include Baby 2 Baby, Black Mamas Matter, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health and Planned Parenthood.

"Daisy Chain Fields is about what can happen when we come together and use our collective power to support one another," Olivia said in a statement.

"I'm incredibly grateful to Melinda and (her organisation) Pivotal for believing in this mission and making the impact of our first festival twice as powerful. Most of all, I'm so excited about what this means for the incredible organisations we're supporting and the women, girls and communities they up for every single day."

The festival, which featured artists including Alanis Morisette, Stevie Nicks, Garbage, Doechii and Chappell Roan (among many others), was inspired by Sarah McLachlan's Lilith Fair in the 90s.

Speaking about the festival at a press conference Olivia said: "Sarah was actually the first person I called when I started thinking about doing this. At the time of Lilith Fair, women were told that they couldn't lead a festival, that no one would come, that they couldn't get sponsors. And those women proved everyone wrong... Today, so many of the top artists who are headlining festivals and selling out areas are women. And I'm so lucky to call many of them, my friends."

And the best part? Olivia has already said Daisy Chain Fields will be happening again next year!
