Just weeks after throwing a bunch of surprise, virtual baby showers for expecting parents working on the front lines of COVID-19...

...Jessica Alba is finding more ways to give back.

This time she's helping children living in poverty.

The actress, entrepreneur and mother of three has announced her ethical goods companies Honest and Honest Beauty have teamed up with non-profit Baby2Baby, to provide kids in Los Angeles with the essentials they need as they head back to school.

Together, they're supporting 50 children by donating backpacks full of pencils, markers, activity books, a reusable water bottle, headphones plus a number of items from Honest.

In a statement on social media, Jessica explains how the collaboration has given her the opportunity "to make a direct impact on the lives of children living in poverty by providing them with their most needed items to ensure a successful start to the school year."

According to a 2017 study by the Public Policy Institute of California, 1 in 4 young children in the state live in poverty and the figure rises to almost 1 in 3 in Los Angeles County, with Latino children and children with immigrant, young or single parents the most likely to be struggling.

"Giving back has always been part of our DNA," Jessica says, referring to her business mission.

"Now more than ever it's especially important to remember to help those in need ❤️."

Last month The Duke and Duchess of Sussex teamed up with Baby2Baby to help distribute backpacks to kids in South L.A.
