Kristen Bell is starting the New Year with love and kindness - and you know we're here for it! The beloved Hollywood star has teamed up with social media star Quentin Quarantino to help families in the U.S. struggling to pay their medical bills.

Sparked by some DMs and hearts full of hope, each day Kristen and Quentin have been sharing a health-related GoFundMe on their platforms. Their fans have been making their own donations and once the fundraiser reaches half its goal, Kristen matches donations to cover the costs.

She donated $20,932 to fund third-grader Mia’s treatment for leukemia, $24,182 to Murilo who also has cancer, and others, totalling $100,000.

AND THEN... (yes it gets better)...

Matt Damon heard about it all and decided to get in on the action too with another $100k in donations (because hell yeah, that ripple effect is real!)

Social media plus kindness can be truly wonderful, huh?

And while this really is wonderful, as Quentin says in his Instagram post: “I know that on a certain level it sucks that we have to do this. We should not have to raise and give money in order for Americans to receive life saving medical treatment, but sadly, this is the reality. We can’t let people do this on their own when so many of us can help. Until we can change the system, this is the reality. And we can be the helpers. And luckily, we also have so many people, like Kristen, and all of YOU who are willing to lend their hand in such an incredibly generous way."

The helpers. They make the world keep turning.
