Nick Kyrgios had us all cheering this week after announcing plans to donate money to those affected by the bushfires across Australia. And now a number of other athletes are following his lead.

In a message posted on Twitter, the tennis star pledged $200 for every ace he hits this summer.

"All the heartbreak this summer; it's pretty tragic what's going on, especially with my hometown, Canberra, being under a bit of smoke, the most hazardous smoke in the world at the moment," he told media ahead of the ATP Cup.

"To see Canberra like that, it's pretty tough to see."

His kindness quickly sparked more kindness with Aussie teammate Alex de Minaur also pledging $250 per ace, because "I don't think I'll be hitting as many aces as you mate."

Kyrgios managed 597 aces in 2019, so yep, this is gonna be good!

Since Kyrgios announced his pledge, fellow Aussies John Millman and Dylan Alcott have also announced they'll be donating $100 per ace and the ATP Cup is pledging $100 to the Red Cross for every ace served during its inaugural competition.

Plus, Tennis Australia has confirmed a "Rally For Relief" will be held on January 15 featuring players from around the world with funds going to support the firies.

Meanwhile, cricket star Chris Lynn is also showing his support. He'll be donating $250 for every six he hits for the Brisbane Heat:
